An Annual Day Devoted to Love of Our Neighbors and Church

We Celebrate the ELCA, Service, Community
ELCA Churches Across Country Activate in God’s Name:

“God’s work. Our hands.” is the ELCA’s annual day of service, taking place Sept. 13, 2026. It is a blessed opportunity for all our congregations to celebrate who we are as a church, engaging in projects and activities that explore our convictions as Lutherans: that all life in Jesus flows from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. The ELCA is one church, freed in Christ to love and serve our neighbor every day.

St. Andrew will be doing projects with community partners.

WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU???

DONATE specific items for New Life or St. Jude’s—boxes are in the Fellowship Hall with suggestions—OR, give directly to the church before September 20th designated GWOH, and we’ll do the shopping for you.

WORK on a clean up crew for CRRC or Family Promise on a date they would select.  Sign up sheets will be available if you think you can help.

THAT SUNDAY (the 20th), we’ll have a crew cleaning and organizing the nursery.  OR, write cards to shut-ins and young adults.  Materials will be provided, but we’ll need addresses for the young adults (College student?  Military?  New job?)

QUESTIONS?  Your Service and Witness Team has answers:  Carol Borchelt, Beth Campbell, Donna Clark, Evelyn Ferguson, Don Gilbert (Council Liaison), Anna Hudson, Mary Lemm, Claire Roberts
