“God’s work. Our hands.” is the ELCA’s annual day of service, taking place Sept. 13, 2026. It is a blessed opportunity for all our congregations to celebrate who we are as a church, engaging in projects and activities that explore our convictions as Lutherans: that all life in Jesus flows from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. The ELCA is one church, freed in Christ to love and serve our neighbor every day.
St. Andrew will be doing projects with community partners.
WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU??? Different options for different days
1. Before September 20:
• DONATE specific items for New Life or St. Jude’s—boxes are in the Fellowship Hall with suggestions—OR, give directly to the church designated GWOH, and we’ll do the shopping for you.
2. Sunday, September 20th:
• Join us in worship on Sunday, September 20th for GWOH Sunday. Come celebrate the ways God works through us to serve our neighbors.
• Clean and organize the nursery.
• Write cards to shut-ins and young adults. Materials will be provided, but we’ll need addresses for the young adults (College student? Military? New job?)
3. Saturday, September 26th:
• WORK on a clean up crew for CRRC or Family Promise
